FAQs

How does payment protection work?

Your payment is only released to the chef by our platform after they have satisfactorily served to your event. You will receive a request for review and feedback via email.

How does the process work?

Once you've booked your experience (existing menu or custom request), we will reach out to gather and organize any additional clarity needed for your chef. From there, you will receive a personalized menu based on any additional preferences, dietary needs, and event details. Chefs source quality, ethically sourced, fresh ingredients, arrive 30min-3hrs prior to your booking (depending on the experience booked) to prep and cook in your kitchen using some of your existing tools and they'll also bring what they need to cook, and leave it cleaner than they found it.

Do I need to provide kitchen equipment or ingredients?

Your chef will likely use some of your equipment and cooking tools, and will handle all ingredient sourcing and bring any necessary specialized equipment need to cook. Chef use your kitchen to ensure meals are freshly prepared and keep the experience interactive, all we ask is that you leave the kitchen clean for chef to get straight to work with a tidy workspace when they arrive.

Can I customize the menu?

Yes, we work with you to create a menu that reflects your tastes and dietary needs.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel your booking free of charge if you do so at least 72 hours before your scheduled service by emailing info@cootoh.com.If you cancel: 24–72 hours before your service, you’ll be charged 50% of the service fee to compensate the chef for reserving their time. Less than 24 hours before your service, you’ll be charged the full service fee, plus any additional costs the chef has already incurred (like groceries or travel). If you don’t show up, you’ll be charged 100% of the service fee to fairly compensate the chef and team for their time.

We require at least 7 days’ notice for cancellations to avoid a fee. Cancellations made with less notice may incur a charge equivalent to 50% of the service fee. This policy ensures the chefs' schedules are respected and allows us to accommodate other clients effectively.
